Luigi Bisceglia

Coordinator of the Yunus Social Business Centre of Bethlehem University and of the Master’s Programme in International Cooperation and Development (MICAD) offered by Bethlehem University, he is also the local spokesperson of the Mediterranean and Middle East Platform established by the Italian NGOs. Since December 2011 he lives and works in Palestine as VIS Country Representative.
Since November 2018, he is a PhD student of the PhD Programme in Business Administration and management offered by the Universities of Pisa, Firenze and Siena. Born in Brescia (Italy), he is married with Lama and he has two daughters, Raya Anna and Michela. In 2005 he got his Master’s Degree in Political Science at the University of Milan, writing a thesis on Human Rights Law. Then, he attended a Professional Diploma in International Cooperation and Development at the University of Padua. For several years he was a volunteer of UNICEF Committee in Milan and between 2006 and 2008 he has worked in Sri Lanka, involved in Tsunami rehabilitation programmes, first as civil service volunteer with Caritas Italy and then as Project Manager with VIS. Since December 2008 till November 2011 he worked for the Italian NGO CIFA (based in Turin) as Desk Officer for South-East Asia.
