Technical Director of the Halal Food Council of Europe (HFCE), one of the biggest halal certification bodies in Europe, based in Brussels. He also works as a scientific consultant at Aqix ltd, E-therapeutics and Gene Solutions. He is a scientific reviewer for 6 international scientific journals, in addition to carrying out scientific due diligence to 2 VC funds, and he has over 18 years industrial experience in drug discovery, development and regulation (food and pharma). BSc (Hons) in Chemistry at Reading University and PhD in Natural Product Synthesis at Cardiff University, he won a fellowship at Oxford University where he worked with Professor Stephen G. Davies. Previously he worked as medicinal chemist at Millennium Pharmaceuticals and then joined Pfizer in Sandwich where he worked for 11 years.
